
Community Resource Fair at Free Produce Day – August 5th!
The Washington County Recovery Friendly Workplace Network, in collaboration with the DownEast Recovery Support Center, will host a Community Resource Fair on Monday, August 5th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the DownEast Recovery Support Center, 11 Free Street, Machias.
This month’s event promises to be an invaluable opportunity for our community, featuring representatives from various organizations dedicated to supporting your success and well-being. Attendees will have the chance to connect with:
- Aroostook Mental Health Center’s OPTIONS (Overdose Prevention through Intensive Outreach, Naloxone & Safety) initiative: Providing free and confidential assistance to help community members connect to substance use treatment and recovery services.
- Eastern Maine Development Corporation: Providing economic development services, including career counseling and training assistance, to improve the quality of life in Eastern Maine.
- Family Futures Downeast: A two-generation college program designed for parents and their children to promote post-secondary education and early childhood education.
- Healthy Acadia’s Prosper Program: Offering navigation and support for expectant and new parents, caregivers, and families living with substance use disorder in Washington and Hancock counties, Maine.
- Jobs for Maine’s Graduates’ Higher Opportunity for Pathways to Employment (HOPE) and Parents as Scholars (PaS) Programs: Helping individuals access education and employment opportunities.
- MaineStreet Business Building (MSBB): Offering support and resources for local businesses.
- Washington County Recovery Friendly Workplace Network: Promoting recovery-friendly work environments.
