Nuestros esfuerzos para restaurar el arranque del r\u00edo y otros peces de mar se adaptan a las caracter\u00edsticas ecol\u00f3gicas y al potencial de restauraci\u00f3n de las cuencas hidrogr\u00e1ficas individuales. Sunrise County Economic Council, in partnership with Maine Center for Coastal Fisheries<\/a>, Manomet<\/a>, The College of the Atlantic, <\/a>the Downeast Salmon Federation<\/a>, the Downeast Institute for Applied Marine Research & Education<\/a>, Maine Farmland Trust<\/a>, Washington County Council of Governments <\/a>and the Maine Coast Heritage Trust<\/a> have come together to restore the connection between our marine and freshwater ecosystems.\u00a0 With the goal of sustaining fishing communities in the Downeast forever, the Downeast Fisheries Partnership (DFP) is rebuilding fisheries and the communities which rely on them through a coordinated effort of nonprofits, businesses and government.\u00a0 Recognizing the ecological interdependence of coastal waters, estuaries, rivers, and watersheds, the DFP helps to generate long term, responsible and effective local\u00a0 fisheries management.<\/p>[caption id=\"attachment_380\" align=\"alignright\" width=\"238\"]\"Photo<\/a> Photo by Don Dunbar[\/caption]
