Servicio Comunitario<\/h1>\n

El componente clave del Programa Gracie es el servicio a la comunidad. Con la ayuda de los administradores del fondo, los participantes desarrollar\u00e1n un plan de acci\u00f3n voluntario que describir\u00e1 los objetivos a corto y largo plazo en funci\u00f3n de sus interese y habilidades. El Condado de Washington ofrece una multitud de oportunidades de voluntariado. los planes de acci\u00f3n podr\u00edan implicar trabajar con un grupo de desarrollo local para atraer negocios al \u00e1rea, ayudar a dise\u00f1ar un plan integral para su ciudad, ofrecerse como voluntario en una agencia local de arte o servicios humanos o servir en una junta municipal. Los participantes estar\u00e1n conectados con los l\u00edderes y organizaciones del \u00e1rea por personal del Consejo Econ\u00f3mico Sunrise que ha desarrollado redes y asociaciones de residentes trabajando juntos para el beneficio del Condado Washington, muchos de los cuales son graduados de Washington County Leadership Institute.<\/p>\n

Elegibilidad<\/h1>\n

Gracie Fund invita a solicitantes nativos del Condado de Washington, o aquellos que consideran al Condado de Washington su \u00abhogar\u00bb, que se han graduado de la universidad dentro de los cinco a\u00f1os posteriores a la fecha de solicitud y est\u00e1n construyendo un a vida profesional y personal en el Condado de Washington. Se da preferencia a los solicitantes que regresan al Condado de Washington. La preferencia es para los solicitantes que tengan la intenci\u00f3n de trabajar y vivir en el Condado de Washington por un m\u00ednimo de dos a\u00f1os. Los solicitantes deben cumplir con su obligaci\u00f3n de servicio comunitario al ofrecerse como voluntarios en una organizaci\u00f3n del Condado de Washington (es decir, agencia de servicios sociales, biblioteca, escuela, iglesia, equipo deportivo, etc.). Los solicitantes deben de comprometerse a participar activamente en el programa Gracie ( es decir, plan de acci\u00f3n, asistir a reuniones semestrales de los participantes de Gracie). Los solicitantes no pueden estar en incumplimiento de un pr\u00e9stamo o tener pr\u00e9stamos diferidos.<\/p>\n

    The Gracie Fund is a student loan repayment program which encourages residents of Washington County, or those who consider Washington County their \u201chome\u201d, to establish roots in the community following completion of their post-secondary education. Students who have earned a degree and are building a professional and personal life in Washington County are encouraged to apply (deadline July 15).<\/p>

    The Gracie Fund fosters community development by helping recipients connect to Washington County through their commitment to a career and community service. Loan repayment awards of $5,000 will be awarded to up to three individuals each year. These awards may be renewed for up to three years. The IRS considers these awards taxable income.<\/p>
