Companies in Washington County looking to expand their business with federal opportunities are urged to attend a free informational session.
Maine Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) counselor Dana Delano welcomes James Pineau of the US Small Business Administration as he explains SBA’s Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) program.
“This valuable program is designed to help small firms in certain communities gain access to federal contract opportunities,” states Pineau. “With all of Washington County being a qualified census tract, come and learn if your small business is eligible to benefit from this program. HUBZone set-aside contracts and a 10% price evaluation preference can be a true benefit to Washington County companies.
Maine PTAC provides a variety of government contracting technical assistance services to Maine-based business of all sizes. The majority of its services are free.
“Government entities, whether local, state or federal, are a big consumer of products and services. They purchase anything from cleaning products and services, to construction, to landscaping,” added Delano. “We want to assist our local businesses in taking advantage these government contract opportunities”.
This FREE Workshop will include:
An overview of the HUBZone program and the application process.
What government entities purchase for goods and services…right here in Maine and how to get started with government contracting.
How Maine PTAC can assist you with your HUBZone application process.
And much more!
