If you are a Washington County business owner who already uses QuickBooks, you are invited to a workshop, Managing Your Business with QuickBook Reports, on June 2 from 9 a.m. to noon at the CareerCenter, 53 Prescott Drive in Machias. While there is no cost, advance registration for one of the 15 slots is required by calling 255-0983.
The workshop will be taught by Rose Creps, a highly skilled financial consultant with extensive experience in assisting small business owners to maintain their financial health. Her expertise includes financial analysis, forecasting, cash flow and budgeting, internal management, recovery planning, loan packaging, and QuickBooks (set up & training). Rose has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Global Business Administration, both from the Southern New Hampshire University. Previously, Rose worked as a Certified Business Counselor through the Small Business Development Center for over five years.
Downeast SCORE counselor Jeffrey Lovit explains his interest in sponsoring this workshop, “For almost all of my clients, records are kept mainly for tax purposes. However, business owners are not utilizing thousands of data entries which, if they knew how to organize them, would show where they are spending too much and what portion of their sales or services are actually producing the most to their bottom line. QuickBook Reports also helps entrepreneurs identify which customers are the best prospects for sales and which customers have fallen off and maybe should be contacted to find out why.”
This event is co-sponsored by SCORE, the CEI Women’s Business Center, Sunrise County Economic Council, with funding provided by TD Bank Charitable Foundation.
